I’m James R. Fiebelkorn, proud owner of JRF Chartered Professional Accountants Inc.

 I look forward to sharing my story and hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

Growing up on a small farm outside of Steinbach, I’ve always known the value of hard work. Whether carrying 5 gallon buckets of water two at a time to water the stock or pounding fence posts, I was always searching for a way to do things better, faster, smarter. In addition to helping on the farm, I started working summer jobs when I was a teenager to be able to purchase my first new car and to pay for my university education. I was taught from a young age that if you wanted something, you had to work hard to get it.

I loved playing hockey in my youth, but gave it up to pursue my education. Passing my courses wasn’t good enough for me, I wanted to be the best. I studied hard and it paid off, as I excelled in all of my courses, especially math and science.

I received my Bachelor of Commerce(hon)  degree from the University of Manitoba. I immediately landed a job with a large accounting firm in downtown Winnipeg and continued on the path to obtaining my Chartered Accountant designation. I spent many years working in both the private and public sector and continuously expanded my knowledge base.

After twelve years of working as a Chartered Accountant for others, I decided to further challenge myself by going out on my own. For the past thirteen years, I have been self-employed and striving to build a business that can support my family and that I can take great pride in. 

Once again, my hard work has paid off. My practice has grown significantly over the past several years. During this time, I’ve included additional services thanks to relationships I have built with other professionals. I believe in servicing a customer, and tailoring our services to meet the different needs of our clients. I am not your average accountant. I will go above and beyond to help you and if I don’t have the answers immediately, I know where I can find them. 

I enjoy helping people and making a difference in their lives. To experience this joy on a more regular basis was one of the reasons I started JRF Chartered Professional Accountants Inc.

 In addition to my busy accounting practice, I also pursue further growth and knowledge from the development of my real estate investment company. My reward for my efforts is the pursuit of purchasing automobiles for my personal varied collection of cars, trucks and SUV’s. My quest for knowledge has never waned. I am constantly taking courses to maintain my designation and studying independently in areas that interest me.

I am a passionate, hardworking person. If you need me at 9 PM on a Saturday night, give me a call and odds are incredibly strong that I’ll be sitting at my desk, working hard for one of my clients. My mind is always at work, always looking at things with an analytical perspective. I have never lost the desire to do things better, faster, smarter.
